The West of Scotland Cat Club

Pontaby Ferragosto (Gus) Pontaby Fragola (Berry) Berry did really well at her first show, she won her Open class and 'Best of Breed Sorrel Abyssinian Kitten', and she also did quite well in her side classes. Berry was also very well behaved on the day, here's hoping that continues when she come out on the show scene as an Adult!! Champion One Shot from A'far (One Shot) The boy did good again, he didn't manage his 1st Grand Challenge Certificate but he did have some very strong competition so it's not all bad. He did win another Challenge Certificate and didn't do too badly in the side classes either. He seemed to enjoy himself though, as usual, being cuddled and admired!! Pontaby Pasticcio (Jasper) Those of you who remember Tico from our kitten pages, well this is he!! He did well at his first show and gained 1st in his open class, but our sorrel girl Berry beat him to the Best of Breed award. He seemed to enjoy himself though and his new owner Heather was delighted with his achievements and looking forward to the next show. Pontaby Testarossa (Rosa) Rosa was unlucky this time being beaten in the open class by Berry. They are both lovely girls, but then I am a bit biased so would have been happy if either of them had won it. I fully expect Rosa to be out to try again soon as her new owner Rosie is a certified show addict!! Pontaby Viviana (Viva) Viva didn't have a fantastic day this time around, but you can't win em all!! Her Open class was a big one of four with some VERY nice Usual girls in it. I'm sure she still enjoyed getting a break from our mad house and being fed chicken all day!!

One Shot from A'far (One Shot) Pontaby Viviana (Viva) Our little Viva did really well at her first ever show. She got her first Challenge Certificate and 'Best of Breed Usual Abyssinian Adult' along with some good results in the side classes. In one class she was placed 2nd out of 10!! We are all VERY proud of her, and are looking forward to a promising show career.

Champion Annera Daydream (Arwen) Abychat Honeycomb (Honey) Honey did it again, and has now won two Challenge Certificate's, just one to go!! She really is a natural at this showing game now and was very relaxed all day. More congratulations are due to Moomin's sister, Abyglen Aisling who won her second Grand Premier Certificate at the show.

Abychat Honeycomb (Honey) I was very hopeful that Honey would get her Challenge Certificate and she didn't disappoint me!! As always she behaved like an angel and slept for most of the day. Honey also won 'Best of Breed Fawn Abyssinian Adult' and a further 1st and 2nd prizes in her side classes. A big well done to Moomin's sister Abyglen Aisling, on winning her Grand Premier Certificate. Pontaby Valentino (Romeo) Romeo is one of Arwen's first litter of babies. He did really well at his first show as a neuter, winning 1st in the Open class, his first Premier Certificate and 'Best of Breed Sorrel Abyssinian Neuter'. His owner's Maryann and Steven will hopefully have been bitten by the showing bug now and we can look forward to seeing Romeo out again soon. Pontaby Dolcesogna (Poppy) Poppy did really well at her second show and gained her first Premier Certificate plus 'Best of Breed Usual Abyssinian Neuter'. She also did very well in her side classes winning another 1st and two 2nds. A good day was had by all the family and I'm sure her new owners will be showing her again soon!!

Abyglen Atomicaries (Moomin) Abychat Honeycomb (Honey) Honey is really getting the hang of this show business now, her last show as a kitten and didn't she do well. In addition to the prizes for her classes, she was also nominated for 'Best in Section', although the final prize went to a lovely Bengal boy in the end. We can't wait to see how she gets on when she goes to her first show as an adult!!!
